Design
I know you would like to know how much it would cost to plan and design your project.  The best I can do is show you a few samples of average prices for different types of jobs.  You should use these as a benchmark, since each project and household is different.  The size of your home, the complexity of the design, the desired detail and the type of room all play a factor in the pricing of the design.  These will give you a basic idea for each type of room or area.  Read on to see the sample drawings below.

"Plans are the essential communication link between you, your builder and your trades."
Product Selection and/or Plan Review - Hourly charge with a $300 Minimum
With thousands of product to choose from, you might want some help with product selection and specifications (see this example sheet).  In baths and kitchens, product selection such as appliances and cabinets are the first items that you have to select before designing.  Of course you want products that are visually appealing.  Other considerations are your individual tastes, the remodeling costs (value), its maintenance record, and the ease of installation.  You want products that are readily available, that have repair parts if needed, and products that the trades are familiar with.  We'll narrow down the field to two or three choices each.  Doing this will help you assess your remodeling costs.

Do you already have plans?  Maybe you've bought plans "off the shelf", and you would like them reviewed.  You might want to see if modifications or customizations should be made and how to do them.  You may want to review the lighting plan or switch placements.  Kitchens and bathrooms particularly need careful attention as to lighting, placement of appliances and whether the island area is too constricting, etc..  We can consult with you on all this and more, before you get quotes or decide to build.
Tip:  Select as many products as you can before you get a quote.
